48. Changing His Clothes Several Times Over
The Honseki never wore silk on a day-to-day basis. His kimono and pajamas were all made from cotton. When he bestowed the truth of the Sazuke, he would change all his clothes down to his undergarments. When there were a number of people who were scheduled to receive the truth of the Sazuke, he would spend the day changing his clothes several times over. No matter how cold it was, the Honseki never failed to do so as he always took his position as God’s representative with the utmost seriousness.
